DEWALT Extreme Diamond Chop Saw Blade

DEWALT announces the launch of the new DEWALT standard and DEWALT Extreme bonded abrasive chop saw discs and the range of Extreme diamond chop saw blades. The new DeWalt range is designed for workshop or site users who need to cut a variety of metals and expect the best cost per cut or grind. The Extreme range is designed for specialist users who demand the best performance and expect the best overall project cost through improved accessory performance and minimal downtime.

By optimising the variables of grain density, grain formation, resin and the rate at which the grains refresh on the cutting / grinding edge, DEWALT have fine tuned these variables to produce two distinct ranges of bonded abrasive disc that deliver exceptional performance. First of all, DEWALT has created discs that contain more grains, and are therefore denser. Through an improved alignment of the abrasive grains within the resin, DEWALT has produced discs that have a much more consistent cutting and grinding performance around the circumference of the disc.

This means that the discs perform to their maximum capability at any point around the disc rather than rather than in certain spots where the grains may be more numerous. Finally, the resin used, only releases the grains when they have worn out, to be refreshed with new grains within the bond. This again maximises the effective working life of the disc when grinding or cutting.

Bonded abrasive metal cutting discs are available in 300mm, 355mm and 400mm in diameter and bore sizes of 20mm, 22.23mm, and 25.4mm.

The top of the range item is the Extreme diamond chop saw blade. Designed for use in metal fabrication shops or out on site, this diamond chop saw blade gives the same cutting performance as up to 100 of the equivalent bonded abrasive discs. Utilising advanced brazing technology, the diamond chop saw blade cuts metal with the speed of a conventional abrasive blade. It also maintains a constant cutting depth, unlike an abrasive disc and is much more stable due to its steel blade core. Unlike standard bonded abrasive discs, the exposed diamond matrix cuts concrete, plastic, rubber, non-ferrous metals, fibreglass and other soft metals without loading.

The Extreme metal cutting diamond chop saw blade is designed for metal cutting chop saws that are designed to take a 355mm diameter blade with a 25.4mm bore.
